Hello, due to the COVED-19 Crisis. I have gotten a little behind on my Physics lab, Therefore, I need help finishing up this Physics lab: Moment of Inertia
I recommend first viewing the videos that pertain to the physical pendulum, then do the calculations for Part Ia. Then go back to You Tube and watch the videos that pertain to Part II, and do the calculations for Part II.
So start by going to the UE Physics You Tube channel:
So watch the videos in this order: Moment PP intro, Moment PP measurements, then finally Moment PP data run. Then read along in the manual like if you were doing the experiment in lab. Do the calculations for Part Ia and record your results in the spreadsheet. Calculate results in the units asked for in the spreadsheet. You might find when you’re in the middle of this that it might be helpful to re-watch the relevant video.
(Note: In the data run video, i.e. the last one of this set, I re-oriented my phone longways when I got to the last few seconds of it. So during the last few seconds of the video the picture flips over on its edge. Sorry about that! I didn’t think it was worth taking time to fix.)
(One point of possible confusion: your lab manual uses some Greek letters, such as tau and delta. I tried to include those in the spreadsheet but sometimes Greek letters may fail to come through in different versions of Excel.)
When finished with Part Ia, go back to You Tube and watch videos in this order: Moment Rotator intro, Moment Rotator static measurement, Moment Rotator dynamic measurements, then finally Moment Rotator data run. Then read along in manual starting at Part II – Rings and Disks, do the calculations, and enter results into the data spreadsheet.
